You might be new to digital art, so let me officially introduce you. Think of it as the 21st Century's equivalent to the camera obscura from the renaissance - a tool to let artists speed up our process, allowing us to focus our energy on creativity.
The technique behind digital painting is very similar to oil. I use brushes and I paint on a canvas - the brushes are digital, and the paint & canvas are made of pixel, working on an art tablet, much as I would on a small wooden panel, and then I might export the final painting to a PC for final touch ups. Finally, the artwork is printed by seasoned professionals on high-quality media such as Archival Fine Art Paper, Aluminium Dibond, and even Wood.
