The “Pride GREEN [T-Shirt] | RAFiott X ARC” t-shirt celebrates the green stripe on the Pride flag, representing Nature. This initiative, in collaboration with RAFiott, draws inspiration from the artist’s MeliTENSION Exhibition held a year earlier.

The “Pride GREEN” design showcases two surreal flower-kiosk octopodes holding a delicate ganutell flower, a traditional Maltese wire craft known for its intricate floral arrangements. The design honours RAFiott’s “Namrati | Deluxe Fine Art Print” and his grandmother’s skill in ganutell. The cloche houses a green carnation, historically a symbol of gay men during the Victorian era.

The enchanting “kiosk-opus” in the design clutches a bouquet of violets, linked to the classical Lesbian poet Sappho and embraced by the lesbian community. The flowers, serving as the creatures’ eyes, feature local Maltese Garigue and Maquis species, reflecting the artist’s connection to his hometown. Additionally, the green flower kiosk pays homage to the Victorian-era kiosks in St John Square, Valletta, with one historically used as a florist. Octopodes, intelligent and social, add local charm to the shirt.
