This bespoke artwork was created as an anniversary and birthday commission celebrating the life, love, and legacy of the client’s parents. At the heart of the composition is a landmark from their hometown — a subtle but deeply personal tribute — surrounded by symbols marking key moments in their shared journey: the homes they built, the children they raised, and the memories they cherished.

Flanking the central motif are two apple trees, styled in a Nordic folk art-inspired design. These represent the couple themselves, and also nod to a beloved pair of apple trees that once stood in their family garden — rich with symbolism, and full of life.

The piece is finished with ornamental details drawn from Maltese visual culture, including traditional tberfil signwriting and motifs inspired by local ironwork, giving it both emotional and cultural depth.
